NHS cyber attack data taken from Synnovis system, provider confirms
Healthcare service provider Synnovis was the victim of a cyberattack carried out by a Russian group Qilin, causing appointments and operations to be cancelled for weeks. The NHS said that hackers published some data online, including patients’ names, DOBs, NHS numbers and descriptions of blood tests. However, it confirmed there’s no evidence of hackers publishing an entire database. The full scale of the attack is still being investigated.
