ICO Probes Kate Middleton Medical Record Breach

The UK’s data protection regulator is investigating a reported breach of Kate Middleton’s medical records at The London Clinic. The hospital is said to be probing up to three staff members over the alleged unauthorised access of the royal’s private details. The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has the power to prosecute for a criminal offence and fine anyone found guilty. Earlier, South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust received an ICO reprimand for a data breach.
