Data from NHS cyber attack ‘published online by cyber criminal group’

Cyberattackers, believed to be Russian group Qilin, have targeted London pathology services provider, Synnovis, leading to hundreds of cancelled operations and appointments. The encrypted data, including patient information, was reportedly shared on the darknet and the group’s Telegram channel. The National Crime Agency, Synnovis, and the NHS are working together to verify the leaked data. The attack has caused 1,134 planned operations and 2,194 outpatient appointments to be postponed, though emergency services remain available.
