Mac users served info-stealer malware through Google ads

Malware that steals sensitive data, including passwords and cryptocurrency wallets, is being distributed via Google Ads. Security company Malwarebytes identified malicious ads promoting a fake Mac version of the Arc browser. Once installed, the malware sends stolen data to a control panel for cybercrime tool Poseidon. This is the second time in two months such activity has been found on Google’s ad platform.
