More appointments and procedures delayed in aftermath of NHS cyber attack

Around 1,300 outpatient appointments and 205 elective procedures have been cancelled due to a ransomware attack on Synnovis, a pathology services provider serving London hospitals. The attack, orchestrated by Russian cyber gang Qilin in early June, has most significantly impacted King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. In total over 3,000 outpatient appointments and 1,200 elective procedures have been postponed since June 3.
