London hospitals cyber attack sees over 1,000 NHS ops postponed
A cyber attack on Synnovis, an agency managing labs for the NHS in south-east London, has led to the postponement of more than 3,000 outpatient appointments and over 1,000 surgeries, according to figures from NHS England. The attack, affecting King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trusts the most, has been labelled a “critical incident” and has also impacted blood testing capacities at doctor’s surgeries.
