HHS opens investigation into Change Healthcare cyberattack

The US federal government is investigating a cyberattack on Change Healthcare to establish whether sensitive health information has been breached. The Office for Civil Rights will probe UnitedHealth Group and subsidiary Change, which processes insurance claims for around a third of US patient records. The attack has disrupted health services for three weeks, with ransomware group AlphV claiming responsibility.
