Mac users served info-stealer malware through Google ads

Mac malware which steals passwords and other sensitive data has been found circulating via Google ads by security firm Malwarebytes. The ads encourage the download of a fake version of the Arc browser for Mac. The browser mimics the real version but bypasses Mac’s security mechanism once downloaded, allowing the malware to be installed. Google Ads removes malicious ads when they become aware of them and suspends the advertiser involved.
