More appointments and procedures delayed in aftermath of NHS cyber attack
A cyber attack by Russian group Qilin on pathology services provider Synnovis has led to London hospitals postponing a total of 3,396 outpatient appointments and 1,255 elective procedures. The attack reportedly resulted in about 400GB of customer data, including names, birth dates, NHS numbers, and blood tests, being shared on the darknet. According to NHS England, investigations into which patients were affected by the attack could take several weeks.
