Investigation into cyber attack ‘could take weeks’, says NHS England

Investigations into a ransomware attack affecting London hospitals could take weeks, according to NHS England. The attack by Russian group Qilin on NHS provider Synnovis occurred on 3 June. Hundreds of operations and appointments have been cancelled. A website and helpline have been established for affected patients. The National Crime Agency and National Cyber Security Centre are working to verify the data published by the cybercriminals.
