HHS Funds $50M to Spot, Patch Hospital Vulnerabilities

ARPA-H, a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), launches a $50 million project titled UPGRADE, aimed at boosting cyber defense in the healthcare sector. The program intends to develop cybersecurity tools to better defend healthcare environments against cyberattacks. The initiative plans to increase cyber resilience in hospitals by developing a tailored and scalable software suite, and also aims to provide an automated solution for detecting and countering threats.
