ARPA-H announces program to automate cybersecurity for health care facilities

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) has launched a cybersecurity program called UPGRADE, investing over $50 million to develop tools to defend hospital environments from cyberattacks. The program’s goal is to quickly identify potential vulnerabilities and deploy fixes with minimal disruption. UPGRADE is seeking teams to work on developing a vulnerability-mitigation software platform, digital twins of hospital equipment, auto-detection of vulnerabilities, and custom defenses.
