More appointments and procedures delayed in aftermath of NHS cyber attack
A ransomware attack in June by Russian group Qilin has led London’s King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust to cancel 1,300 outpatient appointments and 205 elective procedures, bringing total cancellations since June 3 to 3,396 and 1,255, respectively. Some of the data stolen was later published online. Currently, pathology services are operating at 45% capacity.
