Healthcare organisations, particularly in Africa, are experiencing a rising number of cyberattacks, according to a report by KnowBe4. Weak security systems and the extensive data held by hospitals make them attractive targets. The majority of attacks begin with phishing or social engineering tactics. Healthcare is the costliest sector for cyberattacks, with the average breach costing nearly $11m. The report calls for comprehensive security training to counter these threats.
