Thousands of hospital appointments and procedures postponed after cyber attack
Following the June 3 cyber attack on Synnovis, several NHS trusts including King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ had to postpone many outpatient appointments and procedures, though urgent and emergency services remained available. Despite progress, pathology services are quite impacted, operating at 54% capacity. The NHS is calling on O blood type individuals to donate to aid the affected hospitals. NHS England confirmed that leaked data has been published online, allegedly by Russian cyber gang Qilin.
