Thousands of hospital appointments and procedures postponed after cyber attack
A cyberattack on June 3 has severely impacted UK medical services, with nearly 5,000 appointments and over a thousand procedures postponed at two leading hospitals. The attack largely targeted Pathology services, which are currently operating at 54% capacity. Urgent appeals have been made for blood donations, primarily of O positive and O negative blood types. Stolen patient data has also been published online by Russian cybercriminals, although NHS England denies that the full database was leaked.
