Thousands of hospital appointments and procedures postponed after cyber attack
Some 4,913 outpatient appointments and 1,391 procedures at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust have been postponed due to a cyber attack on June 3. While most services are near normal, pathology services are at 54% capacity. Russian cyber gang Qilin reportedly shared 400GB of patient data, but NHS England denied an entire database was published. NHS officials have requested people with type O blood to donate.
