Queensland Virtual Hospital to offer emergency care and more briefs

The Queensland state government will spend AUD 27m ($18m) to extend the Queensland Virtual Hospital’s to cover emergency care. Separately, telemedicine service My Emergency Doctor’s has integrated systems interoperability to help hospitals conduct virtual board rounds. In addition, New South Wales state government is assessing body cameras in selected public hospitals. The 12-month trial will assess the utility of the technology in reducing and preventing violent incidents.
