NHS at 76: The Crucial Need to Protect Healthcare Data

In response to an increasing number of healthcare scams, the NHS plans to continue investing in real-time monitoring and enhancing its cybersecurity strategy to protect patient data and increase resilience towards cyber-attacks. Since 2017, the NHS has invested £350bn in cybersecurity and has established an Operations Centre that monitors 1.7 million devices in real time, blocking 21 million malicious emails each month. However, NHS England’s National Medical Director has warned that threats are constantly increasing.
