11 Vulnerabilities Identified in GE HealthCare Ultrasound Products

Researchers at Nozomi Networks have identified almost a dozen vulnerabilities across the GE HealthCare Vivid Ultrasound family and accompanying software that could be exploited by hackers to alter patient data or potentially install ransomware. In response, GE HealthCare has released patches and issued a statement reassuring that the risks can be mitigated by standard cybersecurity practices. However, the vulnerabilities could still pose a risk if a threat actor gains physical access to the hospital environment and a susceptible device.
