Lockbit: UK leads disruption of major cyber-criminal gang

The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA), in cooperation with international law enforcement agencies, has disrupted LockBit, believed to be the world’s largest criminal ransomware group. The UK-led operation infiltrated and took control of LockBit’s systems, stealing the organisation’s data. High-profile targets of LockBit reportedly include Royal Mail, the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, NHS suppliers, Allen & Overy law firm and Boeing.
