Data breach claims rejected by Shopify

E-commerce giant Shopify has announced that no breach of its systems has occurred following accusations made by the 888 threat operation of a significant data theft. The stolen data, believed to originate from Shopify, was reportedly taken from a third-party app, not from Shopify’s systems. This comes four years after around 200 of the firm’s merchants had their customer transaction records compromised.
