Consumers file multiple class actions over Evolve Bank data breach

Evolve Bank is facing three separate lawsuits filed by three plaintiffs in Arkansas and Tennessee over a data breach. The plaintiffs allege the breach, which involved customers’ names, social security numbers and account information, was preventable. They accuse the bank of negligence and breach of state and federal laws, arguing the bank took too long to notify customers and left customer information vulnerable to cyberattack.
