Microsoft has come under fire for failing to effectively notify customers of a major Russia-linked data breach, which saw hackers gain access to confidential emails. Microsoft allegedly broke its own customer data breach notification process, by emailing tenant admins, resulting in these crucial communications ending up as spam. The failure led to concerns among recipients that the emails may be a phishing scam.
