Addressing behavioral health resources and costs in Ohio

Ohio is leveraging population health management tools from Alera Health to combat a shortage in behavioral healthcare. The Ohio Behavioral Health Providers Network plans to integrate these tools into mental health services. Moreover, Ohio’s Miami University granted $1 million to the Ohio Alliance for Population Health to support future practitioners in the state’s rural regions, which currently have a considerably lower supply of mental health providers than the national average.
