Rite Aid confirms data breach following ransomware attack

US pharmacy chain Rite Aid has confirmed its systems were hit by a ransomware attack last month, exposing customer data. The company is still investigating the extent of the breach, but has said no health or financial data was compromised. The perpetrator, RansomHub, claims it obtained 10GB of data, including personal customer information. Rite Aid has not disclosed how many customers could be affected. RansomHub, a breakaway group from the now-defunct ALPHV, has threatened to leak the information.
