Change Healthcare’s Breach Costs Could Reach $2.5 Billion

The cost of a cyberattack on Change Healthcare, owned by UnitedHealth Group (UHG), has hit $2 billion, with total costs expected to reach $2.3-$2.45 billion. The February ransomware attack enabled hackers to access a huge array of personal and medical data. Despite this, UHG’s second quarter revenues increased 6% YoY to $98.9 billion, leading to a 7% rise in the company’s stock value.
