Snowflake shares slip after AT&T says hackers accessed data
AT&T said a cyberattack on cloud service provider Snowflake has affected “nearly all” wireless customers. Hackers accessed subscribers’ call and text records via Snowflake’s platform for six months. The breach is the most serious since Snowflake announced an attack in May, which affected companies like Advance Auto Parts, Lending Tree, Live Nation and Santander Bank. Cybersecurity firms CrowdStrike and Mandiant have been investigating the breach, and attribute it to group UNC5537, which stole login credentials using malware.
