NHS faces ‘major disruption’ amid heatwave and ongoing junior doctors’ strike
The ongoing heatwave and imminent junior doctor strike is placing the NHS under strain. Whilst health health alerts have been placed in various regions across the UK due to the heatwave, junior doctors are preparing for their 11th national strike over pay. The British Medical Association promises that senior staff will be covering junior doctors’ roles during the industrial action, with emergency departments running as normal.
