Armis provides an in-depth analysis of recent NHS cyber and ransomware attacks

The NHS 111 system has been hit by a ransomware attack on a managed service provider, causing disruption to medical appointments, prescriptions and ambulances. The cyber attack was identified on 4th August and could take weeks to recover. Increased use of IoT devices and connected medical tools has heightened vulnerabilities, necessitating stronger cyber defences. Armis’ research reveals suspicious activity towards NHS Trusts has risen 80% since April, highlighting the importance of comprehensive cyber resilience.
