NHS appeals for blood donations after London hospital cyber-attacks

The NHS is urging O-type blood donors in England to urgently donate following a cyber-attack on Synnovis, a lab processing NHS blood tests. The attack, which affected numerous London hospitals, has amplified existing issues with a declining number of blood donors. NHS London, alongside NHS Blood and Transplant, is working to increase O-type blood donations, which do not require pre-transfusion tests.
