Healthcare remains costliest industry for data breaches

Healthcare data breach costs have hit a record high of $10.1 million per breach, marking a $1 million increase from March 2021 to March 2022. A recent IBM Security report shows the healthcare industry has topped other sectors in data breach costs, for the 12th consecutive year. The next highest sectors were finance and pharmaceuticals, at costs of $6 million and $5 million respectively.
