Data breach as confidential NHS patient information found in Jesmond alleyway

A medical student’s confidential patient information was found among household waste in Jesmond. The documents, originating from Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust, included private details of at least two patients. The NHS Trust, which alerted affected patients, confirmed that all of the confidential information has since been recovered after a full investigation.
