House Democrats press GOP on IVF discharge petition

House Democrats initiated a discharge petition to vote on legislation that aims to nationalize the right to in vitro fertilization (IVF). The petition received 155 signatures within 24 hours and almost 190 in total. If passed, the bill would establish a statutory right to IVF and allow individuals to sue state or local officials for restricting its access.
