There has been a significant increase in the number of data breach victims in the first half of 2024, with over 1 billion victims reported. This represents a 409% increase from the previous year. Stolen driver’s license information also increased by 23% compared to the same period in 2023. The Identity Theft Resource Center stated that everyone should improve their data and identity protection, and provided tips for improving online security.
