Dropbox Breach Exposes Customer Credentials, Authentication Data
Online storage service Dropbox has disclosed a data breach that exposed the credentials and authentication data of its cloud-based service, Dropbox Sign. The unauthorized access, detected on April 24, compromised customer data including emails, usernames, phone numbers, and hashed passwords. The company has reset users’ passwords and logged them out of devices linked to the affected service. Dropbox stated that the breach did not affect other services or reveal any customer payment information.
