Hacker Alleges Shell Data Breach Impacts 80,000 Individuals

Hacker group 888 has claimed responsibility for a data breach at oil and gas company Shell, potentially affecting 80,000 individuals in ten countries. The breached data included sensitive information from Australian customers. Shell, however, disclaimed responsibility, stating that the breached data came from a third-party vendor, not from Shell’s own systems. The vendors have begun notifying impacted individuals and regulators.
