What is the future of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) treatment?

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) treatments are being challenged by new drugs such as Morphic’s MORF-057, AbbVie’s Skyrizi and Rinvoq, and J&J’s Tremfya. Also, a bacterial pill developed by Paris-based Exeliom, targeting the microbiome, is being supported by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. These advances could significantly improve treatment for patients who don’t respond well to current therapies. However, the effectiveness of these new therapies is still being tested.
