NVD Backlog Continues to Grow

The National Vulnerability Database is facing a growing backlog of unanalyzed security flaws, with predictions that almost 30,000 vulnerabilities could remain unanalyzed by end-2024. The backlog, which currently stands at 16,974 vulnerabilities, is growing with new security flaws being reported daily. Timely resolution is needed to help prevent potential attacks on software systems. The organization recently partnered with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to help clear the backlog.
