Alzheimer’s Disease Symptoms Lessened and Improved in Mice by Dopamine Treatment

Researchers from Japan’s RIKEN Center for Brain Science have found that dopamine treatment may help combat Alzheimer’s disease. After studying mice with the disease, researchers observed that dopamine helped reduce physical symptoms in the brain and improved memory functions. The treatment was found to aid in the production of an enzyme that can dismantle the damaging plaques in the brain associated with Alzheimer’s.
