Australian-designed mode for heart attack, stroke prevention

Researchers at Australia’s Monash University have developed an economic model for those at risk of heart attack and stroke to inform health interventions and treatments. The model factors in the cumulative effect of risk variables including the impact of low-density Lipoprotein-cholesterol, lipoprotein (a), high blood pressure, smoking and diabetes as individuals age.
