Rhysida Ransomware selling The Washington Times data for $304,500

The Rhysida Ransomware gang, notorious for their file-encrypting malware, reportedly plans to sell stolen data from The Washington Times’ servers for $304,500 in Bitcoin. The group targets significant national infrastructure, previously focusing on healthcare networks. Cybersecurity firm Sophos disclosed that the Vice Society gang operates Rhysida as a ‘malware as a service’ business, while the FBI and CISA issued an advisory warning about the group in November 2023.
