Iran Reportedly Grapples With Major Cyberattack on Banking Systems

The Central Bank of Iran and several others were reportedly hit hard by a large-scale cyberattack causing disruption and stealing account holders’ information. This attack, amid rising tensions following threats of retaliation from Iran’s supreme leader over a Hamas leader’s death, is among the biggest on Iranian infrastructure, leaving ATMs unfunctional.
