Ahpra starts global search for CEO as Fletcher steps down

Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) CEO Martin Fletcher will resign at the end of the year, after fifteen years of leading the national health regulator. He has overseen the registration and regulation of more than 900,000 practitioners across 16 professions. Ahpra has begun a global search for a new CEO to lead the agency into a new era and face emerging challenges like AI in healthcare and global workforce shortages.
