Answering the Call of ASCO 2024 –

At the ASCO Annual Meeting, the focus was on achieving a balance between effective cancer treatment and maintaining patients’ quality of life, considering their physical, mental and financial wellbeing. This could lead to a reduction in chemo and surgical interventions, especially in ageing populations which face particular challenges. Innovative developments, such as the Alpha DaRT, which targets cancer cells whilst sparing healthy tissue, can play a significant role in maintaining patient wellbeing without compromising effective treatment.
