Kaiser Permanente rolls out Abridge’s AI documentation tool

Kaiser Permanente has implemented an AI clinical documentation tool developed by Abridge in an attempt to reduce physicians’ administrative load. Available in its 40 hospitals and over 600 medical offices across the US, this tool records patient conversations and summarises the relevant medical details. This comes amidst other similar tools developed by companies like Amazon, Oracle, and Microsoft, and highlights the growing use of AI to help lighten the heavy administrative burden of medical professionals.
