Dissatisfaction with EHR increases nurses’ burnout risk: report

Electronic health records (EHR) were identified as a contributor to burnout symptoms by nearly a third of nurses in 2021, as per healthcare IT research firm Klas’s report. 40% of these nurses predict they will leave their organization within two years. Many reveal frustrations with inadequate training, system reliability issues, slow response times, and lack of influence over EHR changes.
