Microsoft to host security summit after CrowdStrike disaster

Microsoft is intensifying efforts to make Windows more resistant to software bugs following a major global IT outage caused by a failed CrowdStrike update, which crashed millions of PCs and servers. Discussions with partners on updating security procedures have been stepped up to better manage such software errors.
