Updated COVID shots from Pfizer, Moderna cleared by FDA

The FDA has approved new versions of Pfizer and Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines, tailored to the currently dominant KP.2 strain. The vaccines are available for those 12 and older while children aged 6 months to 11 years have an emergency use approval. The companies will start shipping immediately. The FDA has encouraged eligible individuals to get these updated vaccines to enhance protection against circulating variants.
