5 major health system mergers yet to close

Health system mergers and acquisitions are on the rise post-pandemic to enhance care, widen reach and improve financial stability. Five ongoing mergers include Sanford Health and Marshfield Clinic Health System; Northwell Health and Nuvance Health; University of Pennsylvania Health System and Doylestown Health; Oregon Health & Science University and Legacy Health, and the University of Texas System’s planned merger of UT Health San Antonio and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
